What Do Most People Want After Recovery


I want people to see their life as fulfilling, the right to be sober and have a balanced life. I believe this is an achievable goal no matter who you are. I know from experience that life is full of joy and happiness because I have started to just scratch the surface of happiness.


There is more to find within the deepest part of our soul that we don’t know about. I would love for you to find what I have touched in my life. I don't know everything, but what I do know is there is a light at the end of the darkened tunnel that you may not see at this time in your life, but it doesn’t stay that way forever.


The urges will go away and happiness does set in when we are committed to our sobriety. I promise you that you will feel joy in your life when you are committed to your sobriety and let go of your limiting belief surrounding your addictions. I have gone through hell in the back with my addictions and pains in my life. You will feel pain along the way, they will be in short bursts at times but the end result will be filled with love and care for yourself. Wait for it, it will be well worth the walk down the path of glory.


This is not a twelve-step process, this is a lifetime of personal growth that is well worth your time and effort that I know you can do. If I can do it then so can you!! Is it hard NO only if you say it is hard then it will be hard.


What you say will be what your outcome will be. I am so happy and grateful that you have taken action toward what you want in your life. I know I am happy about taking action for my happiness in life. Do most people want to be happy?


YES, they do!! Do people take action? YES!! Most people want their life back well, you are not going to get your past life back! You will get something wonderful that is most definitely amazing I do say myself. Dreams are made from within not from outside sources. Don’t expect people to do it for you!! Yes, there will be people supporting on the way like a marathon runner being cheered along the way right to the finish line. But you have to run the

race yourself without anybody taking your place in the race to sobriety. You have to stop procrastinating and making excuses for why you didn’t finish the journey.


Those habits need to be taken care of along the way to sobriety. Yes, sometimes you will slip up and you will make mistakes that are normal for anyone that knows success. “Failure leads to success” If you fail then get back in the race right away! Ask yourself why you fail and learn from your mistakes.


Remember if you make the same mistakes over and over again then you will need to take a hard look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what is it that I need to change about your habits or the people that you surround yourself with. Those changes you make are your own and no one else. Life won’t change until you do!!

Summary

We all have choices in life but it all comes down to the commitment to our personal goals and sobriety. Let us take a look at all the things we are creating in our lives that do not serve our balanced life. Are we blaming others for our mistakes, are we using our past for a poor me attitude?


These are just a few things that are stopping our sobriety in our life. I believe that we can create the life we want with practice, patience and persistence in all that we do. There isn’t just one thing we need to do for sobriety. We need to work on our whole life as a system when it comes to personal growth.


Our addictions are holding us back from our goals and dreams in life. With anything, we can make a continuous effort towards sobriety. When we change our thoughts, feelings, actions as well as our behaviours in life we will see a new light at the end of the tunnel that we call the journey of life. Before we change the way we think we need to face the truth about who we are. The benefits of change will be one of the most amazing and inspirational moments in our life. What I have learned over the years is that life is what we make it and how we show up in everything we do.


There are no exceptions to this rule. The quickest way to sobriety is to stop all addictive behaviours one hundred percent of the time! The question to you may be asking yourself is how do I do that with all the baggage in my life and the environment I live in? To change all that is in your life you will need to change your mindset surrounding your belief system about your life.


Yes, that sounds easy for me to say right, but I was one of those people who thought that my life wasn’t going to change. I thought people had to change. I thought that my life was never going to get better. “HOW DO I DO IT,” I thought to myself. One step at a time, one thought at a time. Well, that works great and will take time, yes, of course, everything takes time to make it happen. What I have found in my life is that when I said to myself it will take time to release my addictions I didn’t need to think about it too much well, this was an excuse so I didn't need to take action right away. So I made excuses for thirty years until I


jumped into the truth about my addictions. I was just so afraid to commit to my own sobriety at that time of life. I was not sure what was going to happen, was I going to have severe DTs or was I going to get depressed, or feel anxious after I stopped my addictions.


All these thoughts were going through my head but what I felt was all in my conscious mind. I allowed my imagination to dictate and take over my inner story. The reality was that the feeling would go away in time. The urges would disappear when I let go of my negative feelings surrounding my non-support that I wouldn’t feel very good when I stopped my

addictions.


I truly believe that we are creating all of our situations, and issues that are happening in our lives no exceptions. I would like you to look into the mirror and then ask yourself who is looking back at you well, that is the person who is creating everything in your life. We are creating sickness, health, money, sadness and even death.


Well, death is a constant truth for all of us until we come back to this world. When we come back to this world we are coming back with the same beliefs as when we left this world. To change our beliefs in our present life we need to change our thoughts, beliefs and behaviours toward what we want to change in our next life. Time to learn from what is going on in our lives and propel our lives to the next level of clear clarity. No one can change our lives until we change ourselves! This is key to everything we do on our journey towards sobriety. With all we have going on in life we have one main goal and that is our happiness right there, the simplest way to that point is with care and love for one's self. I have some amazing ways that you can recover from addictions and that is a 60-day challenge for you to do.
